The Giver (Play)
My thoughts on this is how pretty well it was set out even though it was shortened for the play, it was good. It didn't quite really finish as good but over all it was fine for a play it only went into one character bit more which was Jonas the main character. An idea I have to make this play better than it is at the moment is to add more detail. The reason why I think it should have more is because at the end it kind of leaves you hanging with question about the story and what happened next because it feels like it wasn't completed. Usually after a play you feel satisfied about the ending because you know it's the true ending but for this play it didn't.
The Giver was about futuristic place where most things were banned to keep order it's a utopian/dystopian society. There are persons who pick your job, your husband/wife, and what you eat etc. In their society they can't dance, listen to music, have feelings, or see colors. Jonas is chosen as Receiver of Memory and The Giver had that job previously and is now giving him his memories of what the world use to be like. Jonas feels the world they are in now is unfair and not correct that the world they had before and decides to make things different.
